4 pin trailer plug add-on

(If ordered as an option at time of ordering a turn signal kit, this add on will come pre-installed ready to use)

If purchased later as an add-on, follow the instructions below to complete install.

1.     Locate the license plate pigtail on the MCSADVENTURES rear harness

2.     Connect the white wire from the trailer plug to black wire of the license plate pigtail.

3.     Connect the brown wire from the trailer plug to red wire of the license plate pigtail.

4.     Locate and expose the yellow and green wires tucked inside the black slit loom near the license plate pigtail.

5.     Cut approx 2.5 inches out of both the yellow and green wires and strip the ends as shown.

6.     Insert the T splice from the trailer plug harness and crimp the connections securely.

7.     Shrink up all connections. (a lighter works great for this)

8.     Tuck the wires and connections back into the slit loom and securely tape up.

(note: this add on utilizes the OEM tail light circuit. Do not exceed the OEM rated fuse capacity for the tail lights. In most cases it can easily power standard trailer tail lights up to approx 3 amps)
